Ludo Mlado got a chance to perform at the 23rd International Gala Night at Northeastern University. We did Kjustendilska Ruchenica. What was even better was that the girls were wearing authentic Kjustendil costumes.

Job Description
About:
"Ludo Mlado" is a semi-professional dance troupe based in Boston, MA.
Choreographers of the troupe include a former professional dancer from
the Bulgarian State Ensemble "Rodopa". By training dancers and
showcasing performances at cultural events, the troupe endeavors to
preserve and spread awareness of the rich dance traditions of Bulgaria
and the Balkan people.
Spring 2007 Performance History:
1. Annual Balkan music Night
2. New England Folk Festival
3. Slavic Festival at Brown University R.I.
4. Annual Ethnic Festival at Baker School, Brookline MA.
5. Concert for Bulgarian Independence Day
6. Concert with Tatiana Sarbinska.

Intern Position Description:
Looking for an organized, enthusiastic person to assist with the
following responsibilities;
- Work closely with the Choreographers to help with marketing and promotion
- Correspond with dancers via e-mail to communicate rehearsal
schedule, attendance and performance information
- Confirm performance times and locations with venues
- Persue performance opportunities
- Update internet information as needed; website, MySpace, blog -
upload videos, pictures and other media
- Document performances through video and/or photographs
- Assist in recruiting new dancers
- Maintain records of various contacts

Ludo Mlado at Dessy Dobreva Senior Recital

On Nov. 26th, 2006, the Bulgarian singer Dessy Dobreva had her Senior Recital at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She invited us from Ludo Mlado to dance for few of the songs. She is a very talented singer and the recital was very good. It was a great performance.

Rehearsal with Iliana Bozhanova

All over Bulgaria in different villages and towns, regions and parts of the country there is a very rich tradition of folk dancing. Iliana Bozhanova is one of the people who have traveled all over Bulgaria an collected learned and tried to preserve and popularize dances that are specific for certain villages or regions. Dances that only the locals know and that are very much fun to dance even if you are not from that village.

We at Ludo Mlado (www.ludomlado.com) were fortunate to have her as a guest in one of our rehearsals as part of Iliana's 2007 US Tour. It was a great rehearsal because she gave us ideas about how some small details that can really make our dances better and more diverse. She helped us with ideas about making nice costumes on a low budget. Over all it was a great sharing expirence.
